WHAT IS YOUR DAY JOB?
I am the Founder & CEO of FundED Strategies, which helps schools, education nonprofits, and small to mid-sized organizations start, scale, and sustain their fundraising programs.
WHY ARE YOU INTERESTED IN NGGC?
I joined the Next Gen Giving Circle because I believe in the importance of collective philanthropy to help organizations often overlooked or dismissed by large national funders. My husband and I both work in fundraising and are always looking for ways to support causes that are important to us, but also move the needle towards a more just and equitable world.
WHAT NONPROFIT OR CAUSE DO YOU CARE ABOUT?
Education, both formal and informal, is the gateway to opportunity. I'm deeply passionate about education and enjoy learning about new organizations doing great work. Additionally, I believe strongly in racial justice and equity. Organizations bridging these two topics are what drives my work and my philanthropy.
HOW ARE YOU STAYING INSPIRED?
I'm staying inspired by volunteering with local, small organizations that are moving the needle on racial equity and education justice.
