WHY ARE YOU INTERESTED IN NGGC?
I joined Next Gen Giving Circle because I am excited to find ways to give back to my community, learn more about organizations doing great work across the city and region, and connect with other individuals who care deeply about philanthropy and making a difference in our community.
WHAT NONPROFIT OR CAUSE DO YOU CARE ABOUT?
I care deeply about education, particularly writing and arts education. I like learning about organizations that are doing great work, whatever the cause, and organizations that are finding innovative ways to scale and drive impact.
HOW ARE YOU STAYING INSPIRED?
It's been hard to stay inspired this last year -- we have a toddler running around and managing virtual learning for a first grader -- but I am an avid reader, and I always find something that moves me in an issue of Lapham's Quarterly or the New Yorker, a good book, or Academy of American Poets' Poem-a-day email (https://poets.org/poem-a-day).
