Member Spotlight: Meghan McQuiggan
WHAT IS YOUR DAY JOB?
I work at the Boston Consulting Group as a Lead Education Analyst. I support our consulting teams and clients around the world working on a variety of education topics: early childhood, K-12, higher education, vocational training and skilling, and education technology. I help our clients use data, research, and best practices to make decisions that deliver the best results for students, teachers, and educational leaders.
WHY ARE YOU INTERESTED IN NGGC?
In my work I support a lot of large-scale education foundations, but wanted to learn more about organizations doing great work right in my own backyard. I wanted to learn more about grantmaking, especially in new topics such as food security, environment, and housing. I am also eager to meet other young professionals in DC interested in philanthropy!
WHAT NONPROFIT OR CAUSE DO YOU CARE ABOUT?
Educational equity, closing the digital divide, healthy food and wellness for all city residents.
